Understanding My Pricing: Why a 5% Fee Is Included for Card Payments

I want to take a moment to be transparent about my pricing and help you better understand what goes into it—especially when it comes to credit card payments.

As you may have noticed, the prices listed on my website include a 5% transaction fee. This small fee helps cover the costs of credit card processing, which are charged by third-party providers every time a payment is made by card.

As a small, independently run business, I’m not yet in a position to absorb these costs the way larger businesses can. My goal is to stay small, personalized, and hands-on—while still offering the convenience of card payments for those who prefer not to carry cash.

That said, if you choose to pay with cash in person, you’ll receive a 5% discount off the posted price. It’s my way of saying thank you for helping reduce overhead costs, which allows me to keep offering the same high level of service without compromise.
